Michael Polikoff has done several residential landscape design projects for me over the past 15 years, and has provided follow up consultation until just recently. His work, in every case, has been exceptional and proven to provide landscape plans that mature into really striking gardens!

The next project was more complicated and larger, and involved a multi-phased approach to developing an older property with over 25 mature trees to suit the new house we were building. I am pleased to recommend the landscape architecture services of Michael D. Polikoff. I worked with Michael for several years beginning in 1995 when he was the principal landscape architect used by Rinconada Hills Association.

Rinconada Hills comprises 107 acres with 394 Townhouses and 40 single-family homes. The community was developed from 1968 to 1981, and offers the special challenges of a mature landscape. The landscaped areas include, turf, shrubs, ground cover, annual flowers, and natural areas including two lakes. In addition, there is an extensive automatic irrigation system which serves these areas.

Michael’s challenge was to develop and assist in the implementation of a long-range plan for the replanting of the landscaped areas with Rinconada Hills. This included developing community standards, general design objectives, and specific working drawings. Naturally, all of this work had to be completed within established budget guidelines.
